I’m Shaurya, in the daytime I work as a product manager at an Ad-tech startup. During the weekends, I try to help aspiring PMs make the switch!
1. Why this, why now?
Over the last year, I’ve been sharing tips and tricks on how to break into product management on Linkedin.
The toughest thing about breaking in is that there isn’t a playbook and the road is not linear.
Let me help you by sharing the insights I’ve gathered by trying to break into PM as a new grad, transitioning internally within a company, and leveraging my domain knowledge in Ad-tech to get PM offers.
When I was looking for PM roles, I talked to over 100+ product managers, interviewed with over 30 companies, and tried all the possible strategies you can imagine.
Biggest takeaway - No two journeys into PM look the same and the path isn’t linear.
Since the path isn’t linear, it can be daunting, but it can also be a wonderful chance to play to your strengths and come out on top!
As a newly minted PM who is trying to navigate the PM world, I want to pay it forward to help people discover PM and break into the field.
